Urinary Stress Incontinence is a common problem affecting 25% of women. The pelvic floor is a group of muscles that help keep our insides in.
Pregnancy, aging and the mechanical repetitive stress injuries of sex weaken the floor. Other problems that may also arise are painful sex, fecal/bowel incontinence, organ prolapse.
In an osteopathic visit, I treat and tighten up those muscles. You feel the changes in tone and tension instantaneously. I treat every patient from head to toe. I show you how to access the proper muscles to contract and pull everything in.
Usually, one treatment will suffice. Most women have other issues that I end up having to address.
To maintain your level of muscular control, I recently developed a dvd to teach you and remind you what and where these muscles are. The dvd is available for purchase at www.pelvicfloorhoangs.com
